Long Distance Summary

Good Morning or Good Afternoon or Good Evening,
this post should take three minutes to five minutes to read from start to finish.

Prior to when Jacob and I got married; we were mostly in long distance engagement. Prior to when we got engaged; we were mostly in long distance relationship. Between Texas US time zone to Brisbane Australia time zone is 15 hours. Brisbane time zone is 15 hours ahead of Texas US time zone.

Jacob and I was constantly productive of doing something while we have waited for both of us to come available to talk to each other. Jacob was working while I was working some late night shifts, and sleeping overnight. I still remember a period of time when I was teaching Seminary class (6am to 7am morning class of students from 14 years old to 17 years old to learn more about the gospel).

While Jacob was sleeping; I was working some daytime shifts, I have attended sessions in Brisbane Temple (whether it was baptistery, or sealing or endowment or a different type of session).

While I was in long distance relationship and long distance engagement; I still attended multi-stake YSA dances, multi-stake YSA firesides, and other multi-stake YSA events.

Jacob and I always found something of what to talk about when we were talking to each other (whether it was for us messaging back and forth on Facebook messenger or talking to each other via video call or talking to each other via audio call). We spoke about our days, we spoke about how was our work, we did scripture reading together, we had couple prayers - for safety and protection and invite the spirit whenever we were about to begin scripture reading, and so forth.

When Jacob and I have flew over to see each other; we always have a list of date ideas that we would like to accomplish.

If you can't see the Image for this post, it says "Distance is just a test to see how far love will travel."

Fast forward to July 2019 summary;
I have gotten my k-1 (I-129F/fiancé) visa interview on 2nd in July and it was approved straight away. I was asked with multiple easy questions such as how I met Jacob, how many times have him and I have flown out to see each other, etc.

On the drive home to the interview; my k-1 visa was getting shipped and I was receiving tracking updates via email that was it on the way to my house. My k-1 visa came to my house within 5 hours after getting home.

I have packed my suitcases and my bags. I felt mixed emotions - I felt scared, nervous and excited all at the same time. I have finished employment at Domino’s in Redbank Plains and I have left Brisbane with one way ticket to Dallas and with the uncertainty of how long it would be until I return back to Australia.

Stay Tuned until next time.
