How Did I Almost Forgot?

Good Morning or Good Afternoon or Good Evening,
this post should take three minutes to five minutes to read from start to finish.

Whenever we get distracted and focus on what matters the most; we often almost forget many other things including the little things in life. I would like to share with you some examples of some things that I have almost forgot in the past several years.

On the day that I have given birth to Leah, I almost forgot about the feeling that I have felt when the spinal block was administered to me on the day that I have given birth to Evelyn.

I almost forgot about the grunting noises that newborn makes because it has been over eighteen months ago since Evelyn was making some grunting noises. I know that grunting noises are completely normal and it is not considered concerning. When Leah started grunting noises, it took me a little while to help me to remind myself that Evelyn used to make some grunting noises when she was little.

I almost forgot about the cluster feeding stages and how I have felt during those stages because those stages felt like sleepless nights over and over again. When Leah was about 3 days old to when Leah was about 10 days old, she was experiencing to her first cluster feeding stage. I felt so frustrated inside because I felt so tired and I just wanted to sleep so badly.

During the first cluster feeding stage; Jacob was being helpful thankfully. He was focusing on getting Evelyn to go to sleep and once Evelyn is sleeping, Jacob stayed with Evelyn. He was hoping that Evelyn can stay sleeping  during all of the interruptions throughout the evenings. Evelyn has stayed sleeping thankfully and Jacob has been able to sleep through during most of those nights.

I almost forgot how time flies especially after giving birth. This month marks four years of me being married to Jacob. After I have given birth to Evelyn and Leah, time felt like going super fast on me but time definitely feels like it has slowed down during my pregnancies with Evelyn and Leah. It is hard for me to believe at times that Evelyn is two years old now.

I almost forgot to allow myself to have some me time to myself. It feels like all I ever do at the moment for giving myself some me time is catching up some sleep if Evelyn and Leah is sleeping. Eventually I’ll be able to have different ways of giving myself some me time.

Stay Tuned until next time.
