How do you get through the day?

Good Morning or Good Afternoon or Good Evening,
this post should take three minutes to read from start to finish.

Have you ever thought about how you get through the day? Does a lot of your daytime involved with working? Does a lot of your daytime involved with studying your course? Does a lot of your daytime involved with being stay at home parent? Have you thought about how I get through the day after I have given birth to Leah?

I have set number of days throughout the week to do laundry. I also have set number of days throughout the week to do loads and unload the dishwasher. Throughout my marriage and during both of my first pregnancy and second pregnancy; I was in charge with making dinner meals five days a week and Jacob was in charge with making dinner meals over the weekends - Saturdays and Sundays.

I have been in charge with making Jacob’s sandwiches (whether it was on the night before working day, or on the morning of that he'll be working) to take with him to work to consume throughout the day with snack foods (chips, granola bar, and so forth) and two small bottles (12oz/355ml) of gatorades.

I have been in charge making sure that Jacob would eat something for breakfast on every working day (whether it is a bagel or scrambled eggs or pop tarts or something else). Early stages when Leah was a newborn within 4 weeks, Evelyn and I took the advantage of having naps when Leah would be sleeping because I was constantly tired from constant night wakings for feeding Leah and getting Leah to go back to sleep. Evelyn and I used to play decent amount of times when Leah was sleeping.

We would play with Evelyn’s toys together, we would play modeling clay at times, we would play with the sketch pad, and so forth. We always try to play quietly so we would not wake up Leah. Evelyn still has been getting toilet training, she had one accident so far and she has been successful 98% of time since she has started with toilet training. I simply keep Evelyn occupied of doing something while Leah is sleeping.

To Learn, to Do, to Be - Part Two

This post is based on an October 2008 General Conference talk from Priesthood Session called "To Learn, to Do, to Be" by President Thomas S. Monson. This is Part Two. I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the talk.

President Monson has mentioned; "Number two, do what we should do. In a revelation on priesthood, given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, recorded as the 107th section of the Doctrine and Covenants, “learning” moves to “doing” as we read, “Wherefore, now let every man learn his duty, and to act in the office in which he is appointed, in all diligence.”

Third, be what we should be. Paul counseled his beloved friend and associate Timothy, “Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

I would urge all of us to pray concerning our assignments and to seek divine help, that we might be successful in accomplishing that which we are called to do. Someone has said that “the recognition of power higher than man himself does not in any sense debase him.” He must seek, believe in, pray, and hope that he will find. No such sincere, prayerful effort will go unanswered: that is the very constitution of the philosophy of faith. Divine favor will attend those who humbly seek it.

Brethren, may we learn what we should learn, do what we should do, and be what we should be. By so doing, the blessings of heaven will attend. We will know that we are not alone. He who notes the sparrow’s fall will, in His own way, acknowledge us."

I encourage you to read the whole talk in your own time and here's the link below.

To Learn, To Do, To Be - Part One

This post is based on an October 2008 General Conference talk from Priesthood Session called "To Learn, to Do, to Be" by President Thomas S. Monson. This post is part one. I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the talk.

President Monson mentions, "First, learn what we should learn. Second, do what we should do. And third, be what we should be.

First, learn what we should learn. The Apostle Paul placed an urgency on our efforts to learn. He said to the Philippians, “One thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” And to the Hebrews he urged, “Lay aside … sin[;] … let us run with patience the race … set before us, looking [for an example] unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

President Harold B. Lee, 11th President of the Church and one of the great teachers in the Church, put his counsel in easy-to-understand terms. Said he: “When one becomes a holder of the priesthood, he becomes an agent of the Lord. He should think of his calling as though he were on the Lord’s errand.

President Stephen L Richards, who served for many years in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and then in the First Presidency, spoke often to holders of the priesthood and emphasized his philosophy pertaining to it. He declared: “The Priesthood is usually simply defined as ‘the power of God delegated to man.’ This definition, I think, is accurate.”

He continued: “But for practical purposes I like to define the Priesthood in terms of service and I frequently call it ‘the perfect plan of service.’ I do so because it seems to me that it is only through the utilization of the divine power conferred on men that they may ever hope to realize the full import and vitality of this endowment. It is an instrument of service … and the man who fails to use it is apt to lose it, for we are plainly told by revelation that he who neglects it ‘shall not be counted worthy to stand.’”

The purpose of temples was taught. Covenants and promises became much more than words. The desire to be worthy to enter those temple doors entered those youthful hearts. Heaven was very close. Learning what we should learn was assured.

How can I turn to Heavenly Father (God)?

Good Morning or Good Afternoon or Good Evening, this post should take about five minutes to read from start to finish. This post is about some things that I know about Heavenly Father (God).

I have learned and acknowledge many people has been finding it difficult to put their faith and trust in Heavenly Father (God). I hope one day if it's meant to be for you to be able to find faith and trust in Heavenly Father again.

Many people has questioned about Heavenly Father (God) a lot.

They have asked him; "Where were you when things are falling apart in our marriages?"
"Where were you when I needed some comfort after grieving from a friend passing away?"
"Where were you when I needed some comfort after grieving from a relative passing away?"
"Why do I have to suffer from someone else's consequences of their actions?"

"Why do some bad things happens to good people?"
"Why do I have to feel alone during difficult times?"

Some people choose to feel sad and alone when they are going through difficult time and they don't know who they can turn to. I know that Heavenly Father always would be happy whenever his children are making the righteous choices. I know that Heavenly Father always would like all of his children to be happy and cheerful.

I know that Heavenly Father always would be happy whenever his children are striving their best to stay positive during difficult times, to know that they are never alone, to know who they can turn to when they are seeking unanswered questions, to become better people than they were in the past and striving their best to accomplish their short term goals and their long term goals.

I know that Heavenly Father is always here to listen and answer your prayers (sometimes answers comes straight away and sometimes answers comes after some time of learning from experiences). I know that Heavenly Father is always willing to help you through your trials.

I know that Heavenly Father is always willing to help you through your challenges. I know that Heavenly Father is always willing to help you through your difficulties. I love the Image that I have shared for this post. If you can't see it, it says "He will not always take your afflictions from you, but he will comfort and lead you with love through whatever storm you face. - Thomas S. Monson."

Obedience through Our Faithfulness

Good Morning or Good Afternoon or Good Evening, this post should take about five minutes to read from start to finish.

This post is based on April 2014 General Conference talk called "Obedience through Our Faithfulness" by Elder L.Tom Perry. I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the talk this evening.

Elder Perry mentioned
"To succeed in life, we must teach our spirit and body to work together in obedience to God’s commandments. If we heed the gentle promptings of the Holy Ghost, it can unite our spirits and bodies in a purpose that will guide us back to our eternal home to live with our eternal Father in Heaven.

Our third article of faith teaches us about the importance of obedience: “We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.” The Apostle Paul taught, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

I recognize that the challenges associated with having faith in Jesus Christ and obedience will be more difficult for some than others. I have had enough years of experience to know that the personalities of horses can be very different and, therefore, some horses can be easier or more difficult to train and that the variety of people is far greater. Each of us is a son or daughter of God.
Too often we think of obedience as the passive and thoughtless following of the orders or dictates of a higher authority. Actually, at its best, obedience is an emblem of our faith in the wisdom and power of the highest authority, even God.

When Abraham demonstrated his unwavering faithfulness and obedience to God, even when commanded to sacrifice his son, God rescued him. Similarly, when we demonstrate our faithfulness through obedience, God will ultimately rescue us. and we have a unique premortal and mortal story.

Accordingly, there are very few one-size-fits-all solutions. And so I fully recognize the trial-and-error nature of life and, most importantly, the constant need of the second principle of the gospel, even repentance. Those who rely solely on themselves and follow only their own desires and self-inclinations are so limited when compared to those who follow God and tap into His insight, power, and gifts.

It has been said that someone who is all wrapped up in himself or herself makes a very small package. Strong, proactive obedience is anything but weak or passive. It is the means by which we declare"

I encourage you to read the whole talk in your own time and here is the link below.

If you can't see the Image that I shared on this post, the Image says "Obedience is a choice. It is a choice between our own limited knowledge and power and God's unlimited wisdom and omnipotence. L. Tom Perry."

How to save your heart by Learning the Different Ways?

Good Morning, or Good Afternoon or Good Evening, this post should not take longer five minutes to read from start to finish. This post has many questions that you can reflect on and ask yourself those questions either now or in your own time.

How can you save your heart in ways of should?
How can you save your heart in ways of knowing?
How can you save your heart in ways of you don't do?
How can you save your heart in ways of you just do it?
I love the Image what it says above and I agree with it. If you can't see the Image above, it says

"How to save your heart

Should: never expect
              never demand
              never assume

Know: your limits
             where to stand
         your role

Don't: get affected
          get jealous
            get paranoid

Just: go with the flow
         and stay happy."

Should we never have expectations? Should we never demand of something?
Should we never assume of what someone might be going through?

It's normal for us to have some expectations in life. It's normal to demand something but we shouldn't be feeling upset for having what we demanded for straight away. We shouldn't assume of what people are going through. Someone who has posted a happy smiling photos of them but they can be hiding their true feelings.

Should we know our limits? Should we know where to stand?
Should we know our roles in life?

We should definitely know our limits, where to stand in boundaries, and our roles in life (whether it's a role in parenthood or it's a role in employment, etc).

Should we not get our hearts affected? Should we not get jealous? Should we get paranoid?

Having our hearts affected should help us to learn ways to avoid of getting our hearts affected again. We shouldn't get jealous. If we're needing or wanting something, we need to do something to work towards it.
It's normal for us to get paranoid.

Should we just go with the flow? Should we stay happy as long as we can? Sometimes it's hard to go with the flow and accept things that are happening.  We can always do our best to stay happy as long as we can.
